I am searching for people who live in North Everett and would like to be part of a chicken coop tour in the spring of 2010.
I know we have lots of people who have chickens. But each day i am surprised at how many people would like to have chickens but dont understand. I have people always tell me they would like to have the fresh eggs but don't want a rooster. They are shocked when i tell them you dont need a rooster to get eggs. So at this time.....

Let me know if you live in North Everett and would like to participate.

Once i get some folks on board with this idea... I will be looking for ideas about conducting the tour. Ideas about Bio Security, keeping the chickens safe as well as the visitors, etc. If you have been involved in a tour before - I would like to know about your experiences.

BTW - I have already contacted Rob (Nifty-Chicken) and I think he and BYC will be a supporter for this activity. I would like to make sure that I keep this community involved in the entire process.

Oooh Oooh! Me Me!

I live in unincorporated Snohomish County/Everett/Lake Stevens, just 2 miles off the trestle.

ETA: If the coop isn't done by then, something is seriously wrong..

I am seriously looking for folks in the North Everett (Washington) area who would like to participate in a chicken coop tour. Please let me know if your interested in attending a coop tour also. I am having the council of Neighborhoods notified about the idea and I am contacting the other neighborhood leaders looking for people to be part of this project.
If there is not enough people in the North Everett area, I will expand this out to the entire Everett area. From other groups who have done this, they suggest keeping the area small so people can get to all the coops. I have heard of some people who complained about not having enough time to see everything.

I will develop more information as I get more people involved.

Thanks
