Is a great new website.
i am so excited my mom said we can go to the show! i have never been to a poultry show before and i am very addicted to my chickens. I live 5 hours away and i have a few questions.
would they be selling incubators their? i am looking into getting a new one.
Also should i bring my own cages if i decide to buy a few birds which most likely it will happen lol i cant resist
I would love to be able to get a few silkies. I dont know anything about showing or quality of the birds that will be sold their. I am just a beginner at buying show quality birds.
Thank you! It would be awesome to meet some of you guys at the show! I am planning on going on Saturday. Got to drive down Friday. Luckily i used to live in CT and have family down their. Wish i knew about this show a few years back when i lived their lol.
Quote: l will have lots of blue silkie chicks, some black and maybe a few white. Black copper & Blue copper Marans, Coronation Sussex. I am also bringing older blue laced red wyandotte chicks. I might have them all sold already, some are, don't know about the rest. Unfortunately,, my new Brabanters didn't start laying in time to bring chicks, but I could bring eggs. They are laying well now. I also have some splash Marans, 1 pullet & 2 cockerels. I will bring them if someone wants them, but won't bother if not, they will take up too much room if not spoken for.
I will try to brinng boxes, but don't count on it. I will have heat packs available for purchase.
Yes, the PO has free boxes. alll sizes and they don't ask you what you are using them for.....!
If we didn't already have a polish rooster I could probably offer him a home until you find a place. We have some polish girls for pets, they live with an old golden laced rooster. I'd love to have a silver laced in there for the girls and hatch chicks just for the fun of it.I have a Silver Laced Polish cockerel, 7 months. If he starts crowing loudly after the show I will need to find somewhere for him to go until I my boyfriend and I buy a house (predictd to be within the year). Is there anyone in the area who would be willing to help me out? I would gladly pay a "boarding" fee, say $10 a month, as well as pay for his food and anything else he needs. I don't want to loose him but I live in an apartment and I can't have him annoying my neighbors until I own my own house (plus roosters are illegal in my town). He crows a little now, but only every once in a while and quietly.![]()
You would be free to use him for breeding. We will be at the show, he is entered so you could see him.
He is the low man on the totem pole, a bit of a wimp actuallyIf we didn't already have a polish rooster I could probably offer him a home until you find a place.
