There weren't as many different standard chicken varieties there as I expected. I wonder if it is because of the space needed to raise them or that the prize money isn't worth the trouble? There were twice as many bantams as standards. Lots of nice looking birds. I am definitely entering some birds next year (as well as bringing some to sell)!
my wife got a buff Polish bantam hen (in the picture with my son) who it turns out is very friendly and is perched on my shoulder.
