Northern Pintail Buy, Sell or Trade

I looking to trade a Female Northern Pintail for a Male, or buy a Male if one is available not as part of a pair or sell my females. I bought a pair and the male died. I bought a 2nd pair and the male died. I bought a 3rd pair and the male died. I don't know why these guys aren't surviving. My females do fine and my wood ducks do fine.

Anybody have any suggestions on what I can do here? I love the breed and would like to continue raising them but I would like to avoid purchasing another pair.

I will try to remember who it was that was willing to sell just males. You might post this in the ornamental section to see if anyone can figure out why your birds died.
