These 2 chicks were bought as Barnevelder. They didn’t have the types I wanted so suggested these instead. But they look nothing like any Barnevelder pictures I can find. Any guesses as to what breed they may be?

There are several varieties of Barnevelders, as there are with many other breeds.
Breed is the characteristics, (size, shape, productivity, behavior and many other things.
Variety is the color.
The following link should give you information you need.

I think you or where you bought them from confused Barnevelder with Bielefelder.
I think this may be it. Even looking at the different feather/colorings on Barnevelder I don't see any that really look similar. But the images I can find for Bielefelder look just like mine! Thank you. I probably won't buy from the same seller again. Think about half of my "female" chicks are actually roosters, plus not being sure what I actually ended up with breed wise.
