I was raised in Poland. We had chickens, ducks, geese, etc.
When I was 9, my Dad moved us to the US, into the city.
My youngest daughter (9 months) has been fascinated with geese since pretty much the day she was born.
Eventually, our dream is to relocate someplace we can have chickens, geese, etc. (We live in the middle of town and zoning laws will not allow us to have outside birds)
So, I'm gathering information and looking at pictures (because most of the time my 9 month old is in my lap and geese make her SO happy)
attached is a picture of Josie about a second after seeing a goose at a local park.
so nice to meet you all!

Greetings and welcome to BYC! So glad you joined us. Your daughter Josie is adorable! With a smile like that when she sees a goose, you just HAVE to move somewhere that you can keep some for her! Meanwhile, you can always expand on what you already know/remember... There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Hope you enjoy the site!

Do you know what area/state you would like to move to? You could post on the state thread and ask people where you are allowed to have geese etc. To learn about geese, please check out the "Geese thread," on BYC.
