I'm not trying to be that one person but let me make this clear. Almsot a year with my chickens. Last 4th of July wasnt fun. No I didnt care about the chickens getting scared of fireworks. They were fine with it. But you know what's not fine? PICKING UP FIREWORK PEICES AND CHUNKS FROM YOUR NEIGHBORS ALL OVER YOUR YARD. Including!!!!! The chicken coop. I had to pick up every piece the chickens could eat or get there beaks on. Literly a chunk of firework was in the garden area where there let out. Now the run has been updated and has a roof but I still let then out in the garden area. And I do NOT like cleaning up after them. Yes, I could talk to them but if you knew them but I cant really tell them not to. Sorry I had to rant

I can totally relate, my neighbors shoot of leftover fire works and EVERY SINGLE TIME our dogs jump the fence and run off, but they do come back home. Our chickens go crazy also.:(
I think my chickens were fine with it but they were young and could probably see through the window the fireworks. We were fine with it until they wouldnt stop after 10 and kept going. Until the morning were I had to clean up MY yard because of THEIR mess.

I lost a Muscovy to a stray firecracker once, you really got to be careful, maybe you can ask your neighbors to just go a little farther down the block to blow stuff up?

They didn’t do them yesterday when everyone else was doing fireworks so hopefully tonight they don’t either. They don’t have many people over so I’m hoping for the best.

My chickens did surprisingly well this Fourth of July! They didn't freak out once.
But my four chicks weren't ready for all the noise yet, so I put them back into their brooder for the night with classical music playing and they fell sound asleep. ☺️

You're better off letting them talk with the cops it sounds like. I'm no stickler when it comes to fireworks, but don't litter on my yard or disturb my peace.
