NOT a salmon faverolle... what is she?!

maybe white plymouth rock or broiler not a white jersy giant the chicks are a smoky color

Mystery solved... she looks like about a dozen types of birds because she is a Dixie Rainbow. She just happens to be white. :D Thanks all for the help, it was driving me crazy not knowing!
And since I have no control when it comes to chickens... I brought home an actual Salmon Faverolles:p

That also explains why she is so much larger.

Only one Faverolles? They are still my favorite breed.

It sure does! I was terrified she would be a Cornish x or something and have to be butchered to avoid leg problems... we are kind of attached to her.
There was only one Faverolles left

But that is better than nothing since of the 2 we originally thought we had purchased, one died and the other is a Dixie Rainbow!
This is our first year with chickens... I researched the heck out of the different breeds and I really wanted 2 Faverolles, 2 Orlofs, and 2 Silkies.
We now have 5 Freedom Reds (for meat), 2 Silkies, 1 Dixie Rainbow, 2 Speckled Sussex, 1 Red Laced Wyandotte, 1 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, and our newest addition the Salmon Faverolles. Turns out I am a bigger nut for chickens that I originally thought

Could be something like an Austra White, or some other hybrid. Not all will have the obvious black spots (my California White was pure white).

ETA: Austra Whites will have dark legs and be larger than Leghorns.

ETAx2: I have no idea why I didn't see the most recent posts that were several hours old... oh well.

This Faverolles chick has the fluffy cheeks, feathered legs and 5 toes, doesn't it?

You'll like the Freedom Rangers too. I liked them better than the Cornish X.

Haha! I triple checked! I can't believe I didn't notice for 2 weeks... just too excited about all the gals in the house!
I'm looking forward to the Freedom Rangers, I've read a lot of people like them better than the Cornish X. Since we are first timers, we really won't know any different. Other than they will be MUCH tastier than grocery store chicken!!
