I'm so sorry. I remember when that kitten I mentioned passed I was carrying it down the stairs and I just sat down and sobbed uncontrollably. It was awful. I felt like I should have saved it. I'm so sorry your kitten didn't make it but I would do as you mentioned and get the rest checked out. Hopefully nothing contagious. Hugs to you.

I have used the live traps to catch kittens/cats before and they can't resist the smell of tuna! Good luck with the other kitties.

If they have never been caught and tested for feline leukemia, I would suspect that, or even FIV.

Try some sulmet in their water. We had a kitten 2 years ago that I tried everything on--antibiotics, wormers, everything. He was at the point of being euthanized when I realized that he had the same symptoms as a rabbit with coccidiosis. Thin, chilled, with a swollen belly. With nothing to lose, I gave him a swig of Sulmet. Dramatic change! He is now 12 lbs. of beautiful cat. But we still call him Scruffy-bob.
