Not Again! Barred Rock or Maran, Rooster or Hen?

Been trying to get a few more girls for my backyard chickens. Last time, I ended up with a rooster. Had to it bring back. I just got 2 new additions from another place. He said they were barred rocks. Their legs look different colors and I don't know if that's normal or if one is a different breed then the other? One comb on the chicken with light legs is a lot bigger then the comb on the chicken with darker legs? They are about 6 weeks old. I am confused at this point! Any comments or suggestions appreciated. Pics attached.

Those are both cockerels, sorry! Also, I don't think that either barred rocks or cuckoo marans should have black legs?

I’m not sure about the dark legs but the one with yellow legs looks pullet to me. Barred rock pullets tend to be darker and have streaks of black on legs. Overall I would guess both pullets.

Leg color is not 100% reliable when sexing BR chicks. At 6 weeks, pullets shouldn't have any comb development. The size and color of those combs indicate that they are cockerels.

Hmm... now you got me wondering about my hatchery sexed pullets.

I don’t know... I had a barred rock that looked similar to yours around 6 weeks. She had black legs/feet too and a bit of a comb. I included a pic of her as a baby to show her legs and then a pic as a 6 week old to show her coloring and comb.
