not an egg, just the ova

So my 7month old Red Island girl has demonstrated some nesting tendencies. Have witnessed her laying in a squat (not where I thought she would , like in the coop...) and when I went over to see what was there, a red ova and some albumen were discharged. She has always had a 'sneeze' and has 90% dissipated with antibiotics for any secondary infections. I'm wondering if her reproductive tract is immature or scarred from a possible respiratory virus. She continues to try to lay, but no eggs. She is immature in her diet. By that I mean, she does not eat the crumbles or pellets, may peck at fruit if her buddy, a 5month old Australorp eats it. As a matter of fact, she only looks at the stuff Jayma eats and seems stymied.... She will eat bugs, dried worms, and the crickets I raise, (oh yes I did!!!!) So I know she must have some nutrient deficits, but is the shed ova a problem that will correct or is she not able to ever lay an egg? PS: I will let her live her life as she is companion to Jayma. The picture is not what I found, but an example of what I saw along with the albumen actually separated in the pile.

She continues to try to lay, but no eggs.
How often does she lay similar to the example you posted...every time?
Pics of the actual output might help here.
Has she ever laid normal egg?

She is immature in her diet.
Birds should eat a 'normal' diet from the day the are hatched,
nothing "immature" about this....it's just weird.
Her disease and/or nutrition could definitely be the 'cause' for shedding follicles.

She has never laid an egg. My question was it normal for a new young hen to pass an undeveloped egg the firs time trying. I say immature because she doesn't eat the laying crumbles I put out, or any new object like radish greens, cabbage, etc. However, she does eat crickets, bugs, roaches, and the occasional unfortunate green frog that gets in there. Whereas the younger hen will eat anything. Guess you basically answered my query, her reproductive system is abnormal. So I suppose she will just be a companion. …...
