Praying for your girl. It's beautiful that you had this done for her. I hope they are giving her a lot of pain management, it can make the difference between a bird who keeps trying and a bird who just gives up.

Hi everyone, Thanks so much for the prayers and support. I have the sad news that she passed away this afternoon- via seizure. She was doing seemingly better and well- even eating all the yogurt I brought in for her during her stay. These things are just too tricky I suppose. I'm not feeling so talkative at the moment, but just wanted to update and thank everyone.

My vet said she took out a large softball sized chunk of what looked like hard boiled egg yolk. I think she said (I could be wrong about this) that it weighed five pounds. Keep in mind, my bird was 7 pounds on the scale before surgery this morning. So that means, right now she is only about 2 pounds?

Just also wanted to correct this... I think the mass was 2 pounds. I got it mixed up. Sorry.
