Have you watched them eat? If eating doesn't appear to be a struggle and you examine each girl to make sure she's heavy enough, chances are the beaks won't really impact their life except cosmetic-wise.So, my husband and I are thinking of contacting the seller of these hens to possibly return them and many of their beaks are funky. Some beaks are stubby, some are off (over-bite and under bite) the worst one is the pic I shared above. I’ll try to get pics later today, but it’s snowing at the moment.
Any advice is welcome! I’d hate to see these girls go, but if the beak issue is not fixable, they just may not work out.
