Not an Emergency...Marek's in the Flock

Rye neck is still confusing to me, something that happens to chicks but rather surprisingly

Poor kiddo. That is a pretty extreme case. I can easily see a run-away bacterial infection causing this in a duckling/chick.

Lost two that way... both were dead in five or less days after hatching. Have since stripped down my bator and have given it a thorough cleaning.

That is disappointing, somebody in the NYD hatch-a-long had a rye neck and a chick with a mass on it born

The duckling posted a picture of did *not* have wry neck, it had a massive systemic bacterial infection that made it look like wry neck. Make sense?

Just realized the disease going around in my flock right now, FROSTBITE. Not super bad but still it is around.
