Ok so this isn’t an emergency more like a question that pertains to an injury. I don’t even know if I need to post this here but 🤷‍♀️. So I had 1 cockerel and 19 pullets and he had over mated only a few of them and they have lost all their feathers on their backs and a little on their wings. I got rid of the cockerel (thank goodness. He was a pain in the butt.) how long will it take for the hens to get their feathers back? It has been about 2ish weeks five or take a few days and it doesn’t look like any have started growing back. Will they grow back?

Yes, the good news is that the feathers WILL grow back, but, the bad news is they won't grow back until the chickens molt again. So, it may be the whole summer that they have bald backs. :hugs
