I would love my Amber Links hens to sit on their eggs to hatch baby chicks, but so far none of them are broody. I have a rooster, but I'm just curious to know when my hens will start to sit. Anyone know??

Thanx

Amber Links are a commercial egg layer, they are bred to lay a lot of eggs and most of the "broodyness" has been bred out of them, so it is unusual for one to go broody.

If you can pick up a couple of game hens or silkies you will have chicks every year. It is definetly breed dependant, even most heavy breeds that use to be reliable setters have it bred out of them.
