started with 4 chicks on clearance sale from tractor supply 2 years ago well needless to say long story and lots of money later I now have 12 laying hens one amazing rooster 3 young hens born 4/7/2020 ( out of 10 total hatched) ( i already found homes for the roosters from that batch) and I have even acquired silkies. Currently i have 10
I have successfully been able to have my hens ( not the TS ones like i said long story you lose some you win some) go broody and hatch 4 batches so far avg 2 a year and a fifth batch is due on July 15th.
It has been AMAZING the best ever watching a mama hen with her clutch
Ok so thats me love my chickens but even though family tries I refuse to be called crazy yet
 
Thanks SHH this chicken page is my secret no one knows I joined it lol Hey like I say to the family call me crazy but they love the eggs and do you know how many people the girls have been able to share their eggs with in this pandemic elderly friends who cant get out I never thought I would be driving around dropping eggs off on porches but it is so wonderful to be able to share them makes all the time money and effort worth it.
