I am here to THANK CHOCOLATEMOUSE FOR SAVING MY DUCK'S LIFE!

I went out to my Hookbill cage for the fourth time today and found one of my bibbed males barely moving. I was despairing, but my hubby reminded me of what I read to him from ChocolateMouse's post on January 25th: "They're not dead until they are warm and dead."

I took my cold Hookbill right to the house and put him in a dishpan of warm water. I poured warm water over him repeatedly. I changed the water several times to keep it warm. No response for several minutes, then he started to bob slightly in the warm water, then started to look at me, then started to ask for water.

After he drank warm water, I put him into the bathtub with companions who urged him to eat and drink.

He has graduated to his own cage. He will be in the house with us until the polar vortex passes.

THANK YOU @ChocolateMouse! You saved my Hookbill's life!
