Not dust-bathing?

Ever since we moved our girls to their big run, I never see them dust-bathe. I set up a nice big dust bath and filled it with a mix of arroyo sand, DE, and some First Saturday lime. I see them lie around in there but I haven't seen actual dust-bathing maneuvers.

Is it possible they are just doing it stealth-style? No idea why they would want to hide.

i just don't want them getting mites!

Unless you are watching them 24/7 they may have just been doing it whilst you are not there.

It’s very natural for them to dust bath so if they have the opportunity they more than likely are.
