my 18 week old chickens will only eat corn they hardly eat there pellets.should i take the corn away?

Yes, corn is a treat only. It should not exceed 10% of their diet (on average). We call it chicken crack because they will do anything for it and if given the option will only eat it. It is turned into mostly fat in them (we use it the last 2 weeks for fating up broilers) and too much of it can cause damage to the organs and shorten life. It is about the same as french fries to us.
