just want to post that last week my husband and i had some turkey eggs hatch. one was earlier than the others. this poult was just not right. he was stooped, hunch backed. other than being a little bent over, after some tlc from us he was regular....just bent over. i searched on BYC and google and read anything i could trying to figure out what was wrong with him and what in the world to do about it. like any other subject involving chickens i found the same two options...1) it will be fine or 2) it is bad = put them down. we decided to wait and watch. i am thrilled to report to today that my little guy is carrying his head high and running around in the brooder. so i just wanted to put this out into the information universe.....i was "this close" to culling the turkey and didn't and he grew out of it!!! so consider waiting and watching if you have a little humpback bird. also, my prayers each night might have helped.
