(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Thank goodness for Google...I've been reading up on chickens and finally decided to take the plunge. I love to read old and new on BYC. The site is very informative.
I have two "chickies" Taco Bell and KFC. They are Belgian Malines. Sweet as can be. I still am anxious to find out if I have a hen or rooster. They are only about 2 months old.
My friends and family think I am the crazy goat lady. Goats are my first passion, two Muscovy ducks my second and now getting into chickens. My two muscovies are Mrs. Duck and her mate Anna, yes you saw right... my daughter and I thought we could sex one of the ducklings to keep and SHE turned out to be a HE! lol. Mrs duck's original mate was Mr duck.. he got boosted out and I had to get rid of him. He kept attacking me, bruising me and l literally could not get out of the truck without him hurting me.
Boy do I hope the chickens are a lot sweeter!
