Pick up 12 Ameraucana chicks today froTSC.
Not my first choice but I’m tired of waiting.
Three had vent issues so I cleaned them up and checked the others.
Threw in a bit of lettuce just to see if they liked it. A few picked at it.
Let the adventure begin.

Sounds like you need a new user name! Congratulations! And Ameraucanas (Easter Eggers if they are from TSC) are awesome because you’ll get cool eggs and hopefully lots of different patterns on your birds!

8 out of 13 of my flock came from tsc
I believe all are EE’rs but 2, 1 is an Isa brown I bought and the other is a golden comet. All was supposed to be pullets but we ended up with a cockerel and so far he is ok and has turned out pretty. I was suppose to be buying 4 sapphire blues, 2 Ameraucanas, 1 Isa brown n 1golden comet. My other 5 came from another feed store n they are all EE’rs I ordered. You never know what your going to end up with when you buy from tsc. They did refund all of them and let me keep them since once I realized they were done selling chicks until fall. I do like that there is such a variety of colors in the EE’rs. I’m happy with all of them I am anxiously waiting on the first batch that are at around 19-20 weeks to lay

Check all the supposedly girls for vent blockage. Three out of 12 had issues. Cleaned them all up checked them this morning and they look normal .Glory

Is it ok to give my chicks some wet feed? Not fermented but just a bit wet.

Don't forget grit for the little ones if you are feeding anything other than chick feed.
