Yes wet feed is considered a treat by my chicks. If it's hot make water ice cold to help them cool down.

Don't forget grit for the little ones if you are feeding anything other than chick feed.

I started mine on grit first week.

Pick up 12 Ameraucana chicks today froTSC.
Not my first choice but I’m tired of waiting.
Three had vent issues so I cleaned them up and checked the others.
Threw in a bit of lettuce just to see if they liked it. A few picked at it.
Let the adventure begin.

Yes wet feed is considered a treat by my chicks. If it's hot make water ice cold to help them cool down.

But since they are chicks and need heat I would make it room temperature to a little warm right?

They love wet feed and eat it like candy.

It's also useful as a treatment for pasty butt since it helps them stay well-hydrated.

If you offer ANYTHING other than chick feed (wet or dry), they have to have grit so they can digest it.

Rough night for my chicks. Snake some how “I think I found where” got in a killed two and ate one. The snake was shall I say, was relocated.
Damnit.
So I built a box and put it inside my barn.
I thought I had a well secured coop.
