Tonight, when it's 20 Degrees out and the coop is like, 40, My 5 Hens wouldn't go inside the coop. Well, 1 did. So when I came home from my friends, my Brother told me they wouldn't go in. So I go next to the Coop where the stairs are and there are my 4 Hens, 1 Awake, the other 3 Asleep. So, I carry them into the coop and they roost and Whala! Any idea why 4 out of 5 didn't go in?

Is there a draft on the roost area? Have you treated the coop for lice/mites lately? Mice/rats or snakes? Well ventilated, or does it smell of ammonia? Or maybe they just need to learn, and you will have to do this a few nights til they get the idea, especially if it is a new coop for them.

No, It's Not Drafty near the roosting Bar, it is a sealed Window and above there heads. I haven't treated it for Lice/Mites recently, and They are 1 yr 6 month old. This is the first time its happened, and they've had the coop since they were 1 month old. I'll get pics soon.
