Not laying anymore

I have a year old chicken that just quit laying. It used to be my most reliable chicken. About 4 weeks ago is when she stopped. It's like she is constipated.. she just hangs out in the box. I take her out and she runs, eats, drinks, etc.. but in a few minutes she is back in the box like she wants to lay.. any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a broody!

Yup, that's a broody hen.
Broody hens are trying to hatch some eggs.
The eggs can only hatch if they're fertilized. Broodys typically stay in the nesting box incubating eggs for 3-4 weeks. Do you have a rooster or want to hatch eggs??
If you hatch some just know you'll probably get some roosters.

I am not planning on hatching. I have since pulled my bird and put in a vented crate.
