I have a hen that started laying eggs in November. A few weeks ago, one of the dogs got into her pen. It mainly wanted to play not attack, and it chased her a bit before I found them. She lost some feathers, and had one small scrape on her side.
I moved her to a pen by herself to recouperate, and doctored her wound. Since then she has not layed an egg. It has been about four weeks.
She is still in the separate pen, and is looking much better. Her feathers are coming back in, she is eating well.
How long will it take for her to lay again? Is there anything else I can do to help her out?
