I have 2 BLRW pullets 1 BLRW cockerel and 2 Polish pullets in a coop. They just turned 24 weeks old and the pullets are not laying yet.

I have another 10 pullets of different breeds that I purchased along with these in a different coop and those are laying.

Any ideas why the BLRW are late???

I have four EE pullets who are 25 weeks old and not laying. Frustrating! Three do have a red comb and face appearance and the other looks like it is starting to change slightly. I asked the same question and it sounds like it varies. Many had pullets who started laying aroung 16 -20 weeks and one said they are still waiting on their 27 week olds to lay. So I guess we have to give it time.

I have 3 Wheaten Ameraucanas, a Speckled Sussex and a Cuckoo Marans that are all 24 weeks and none have laid yet. And an almost 11 month of Blue Ameraucana that has yet to lay.... she beautiful, but I won't be able to pass on her genes!

I hope my group born the end of April are laying by the end of September.... I'm only getting 3 eggs every other day... one EE, one CA white and one black star.

My brown leghorns are not laying either , they are 20 weeks old . It could be a day length thing as we are only just going into the more spring days in this lower half of the world.

I have been telling my girls that are close to laying that their time is short and I can't keep free-loaders. Today I got 4 eggs - 1 is from my new layer(an EE). Sometimes you have to 'threaten' them in good humor for a bit and then sometimes that does the trick.
