Not laying yet

What breed are they? What are they eating?

Heritage breeds can take up to 25 weeks to start laying, and nutrition effects when they start laying as well.

I hope they start laying soon! Best of luck.

My chickens are 21 weeks old and they aren't laying!

21 weeks and not laying is not at all unusual or reason for concern - the "average" onset for production is 22-28 weeks with some high production hybrids and/or precocious girls laying as early as 16 -- some breeds are even slower to mature than 28 weeks. Breed, nutrition and other environmental factors can impact the maturation rate of individual birds.

Thanks, Im so ready for them to start laying, they are Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks.

As long as you have been feeding them a good quality feed that is appropriate for growing and developing chickens, they should be laying very soon. Two of my Barred Rocks started laying at 19 weeks, and two more started last week at 22 weeks. I have two more that still aren't laying.
