This is our first times raising chickens. We have eleven 10 weeks old pullets. We had moved them from brooder box to their house and have only had a couple leave the house. They don't always go back in for the evening. I have to put them in. Does it take them a while to get adjusted to their new surroundings? Do they normally go in on their own at night? I would appreciate some help on what is normal. Thanks.

Yes they have a typical ramp you see on most houses with the pieces of wood going across. I have seen a couple use it or just jump up and fly in. They have only been in the house in the new location for 5 days since we still had snow and very cold weather. I am hoping with the weather nicer they will get a little more adventurous. They keep peeking out but not all of them have come outside yet.

I was worried about my Girls at first too. They wouldn't go in at night (or any other time) so the first 3 nights they were in the run I picked them all up and put them in their house and closed them in. Every morning I opened the door and one by one they poked a head out and then came out. The fourth night I went out to put them in and they were all in on their own. They have come and gone as they should ever since.
