Not new to chooks but been a while. Decided on 10 as we have opened a new BnB in Scotland. I do have a question about giving chicken rain water?

How is this handled while they have to stay inside during bird flu? I know the UK had to lock down their animals... some areas in Germany have to. Right now it is about to knock on my door. One of the rules is no surface water... meaning rain water that could have been contaminated. Just one thing you might want to think of. But other than that, there is nothing wrong with rain water.
No bird flu here that I’m aware of - yikes

I use rain water in my run that we do have a screen on only because we use horizontal nipples. The only problem was this winter when that bitter cold hit , it broke the side out of new trash can (rain collector) so we will try again this year . Will drain before deep winter hits this time! But they drink it no problem

The whole of the UK has been in avian lockdown since the middle of December, though you're enclosure looks perfect for keeping them separate, it looks as though the restrictions are coming to an end on 31st March. Personally I disconnected my water butt from the guttering when the lockdown was announced and topped it up with a hose once.

DEFRA have an interactive map with bird flu zones.

Nice place by the way (the chooks and yours)!
