I posted that I had gotten my chickens (and a pair of guineas) last week. I am having fun seeing what they will eat, and watching them do their little birdy things. My Hubby is way more enthused about it than I expected! He was already talking about getting an incubator so we can have chicks. I reminded him that we have some silkies on the way, and they will hatch eggs for us. I won't be surprised if he wants an incubator soon anyway though, LOL!
We were putting up some fencing for the dogs and I grabbed a cup with a lid and started snagging every bug I could to throw in their run. I saved our scraps from dinner at a restaurant, and they were really scraps, I felt a need to tell our server that it was for chickens so she didnt think we were just weird. Of course, I'm not sure that made us any less weird..
