Not questioning breed or gender....just color...

I picked out 8 Silkies at TSC today. Oddly enough, they said they had bantams in, but when I got there, all they actually had gotten was about 50 Silkie chicks. They were all close to the coloring I picked out. Mine vary from dusty grayish white, to buff-smudgy grayish brown (yep thats a color lol).

I have never seen buff chicks hatch out, so not sure what they would/should look like and I thought all white chicks hatched out completely yellow. These have me confused.

I don't know silkies so I can't help, but they sure are cute!

Well my Buff Polish chick has the same coloring as them, so they could be buff. Just a guess tho!

I am leaning towards Buffs, just because they are the only pics of Silkie chicks I found that looked smudgy

Which would be ok, I don't have any Buffs and I should get at least 1 girl in a group of 8...right?! lol

Deb, the one in the middle of my picture is buff. Not sure if that helps or not!!

This little baby looked like a white when it hatched, but it is now starting to get its splashing in. It had a yellowish tint if you want to call it that.
