Not Quite Crowing??

New at this... we have 3 chickens and 2 roosters,(4 mos. old) The larger roo crows loud and strong. The smaller one tries and tries and sounds like he's straining to get it out. Is there something wrong with him?

My 4 month old sounds like some one squeezed a Squeaky toy. (It certainly cant be considered a crow yet

It's like learning to sing... takes some practice! They'll get better.

We used to have a hen that crowed. Sounded very much like a squeaky toy! She would crow. Then go lay an egg. Go figure.
Yep, we have had some weird chickens!
