Hello everyone! My name is Chuck and I'm from Moncks Corner, SC. I registered on this site a while back but haven't been very active on here until recently. I had always wanted chickens of my own after being around my great-grandmother's chickens growing up. I was finally able to get some last summer and came across this site when searching for information on breeds and advice online. I have 4 Rhode Island Red hens, 1 Rhode Island Red rooster, 3 Buff Orpington hens, and 7 (maybe 8) hens and 1 (maybe 2) roosters that I am unsure of the breed. As soon as I am out of "too new" status I plan to post pics for help on breed ID for those last ones. I would like to get into breeding and hatching but don't want to use an incubator, so I hope to end up with a few broody hens one of these days. I think this is a great site so far and plan to take full advantage of any advice I can get when the time comes!
