Not roosting

Lol cute.

3 times we have caught them in the coop at 7:30-8:00 am. At that time they were on the roost but when I go to make sure the coop is closed up and they are asleep on the ground. Any thoughts on that?
It might be that they feel very secure in the coop or that they still prefer to huddle together at night. Some roost by 8 weeks other not till much later but I find that mine are all roosting about the time they lay their first egg.

I am waiting for the buff to lay. Any day now. 24 weeks today. I am going to Costa Rica for 10 days so of course she will obviously lay while I'm gone. :)
