Wow, am still in shock, Let my guys out today, all of them were great, not even an hour later, Henrietta (our 9 month old hen) comes up and sits beside me, panting etc.
Others were fine, digging and dust bathing as usual, Henrietta was not interested. Bought her inside in the cool (although only 22c today), within 5 maybe 10 minutes she started fitting and gone
Has anyone else had Sudden chick death syndrome? Ok she might not be a chick anymore, but still relatively young in my eyes.
My 11 yr old son is still in tears, we tried to revive her, no luck
She was one of our favourites, so tame, placid etc, now gone For no apparent reason
