Hi I have a Mascovy duck she is about 7 months old and her feathers are not so water proof should i be concerned
She also has been eating the chicken eggs could that have something to do with it:/
Greetings from Kansas, Duck Lover 4000, and
! Pleased you joined us! Not sure on your duck's feathers....I wouldn't think eggs would have anything to do with it...unless it isn't getting the proper nutrition otherwise. You might post in the duck thread below for more expert advice. Good luck to you!

Is she preening herself, that is what spreads the oils to her feathers (water proofing).
