Not sure about hen's behavior...Broody? Sick? Over serviced?

I watch them like a hawk...which we have some young hawks hovering around lately, but they usually leave my chickens alone due to their size and places to run to. I lost one chick 5 months ago to a red tail. I thought that she was showing imporvement this morning but I have only observed her sitting on a wood pile-roosting for a couple hours. Its cooler out now, has been for the past 2 days. Gonna whip up the yogurt and bring her some. Any idea when I could expect her to perk up if it is exhaustion?

Getting her body temp down and giving her plenty of cold foods should help...if you can, I really would try to get her into A/C where she can recover...I would think that she should feel more chipper as soon as you can get her cooler. If it was heat stroke, that will be a different story.

Ok so she did eat what I would say is minimum to little of it. Really strange is that when she bent over to first start to eat the first several times she was pecking air. ??? Right above the food.
She refused to try and pick through the pile of food I had to put it on the ground in smaller than dime size pieces for her to pick up an1y. Shes really got me perplexed.

She also chest bumbed my roo out of there...

Check her vision...do her eyes look normal? She sounds like maybe she has lost some sight and is not able to find food correctly.

Thats exactly what I was thinking but her eyes look perfectly fine. She closes them a lot though. =( She would peck at some food then stand there and close her eyes. She can see because she will go after a few in the flock if they go near her, and moves away when we go towards her...

Still dealing with this

Gonna do a epsom salt soak and oil her backside give her a nice warm place to sit...shes breaking my heart with this.

yikes! for 3 days??
She started to limp around today which she wasn't doing before, but seemed more alert... Its really strange.

I know three days is long to show symptoms. A severe enough one can last a while. With a little swelling on the brain maybe. I admit I was throwing that out there just as a possibility. If she is alert today that's to the good no matter what it was.
