All right. So since I'm new to this whole backyard chicken thing I might be over worrying. I have always heard that chickens "see blood" and once one gets injured you should remove it so it doesn't get "pecked to death!" Well that just sounds horrific and has got me worrying. This is one (of two) unexpected roosters, whom of which I'll eventually be forced to get rid of. I'm just wondering if for the mean time he'll be fine with the rest of the flock? I'm thinking the other rooster roughed him up a bit. (Side note: the wound does look worse in person)
