Not sure if rooster or hen

Does anyone have pictures of a Rhode Island Red rooster at 4 or 5 months of age not sure if I have a rooster and can't get a clear pic. I think rooster because it is darker in color then my hen and feathers look different I would appreciate your help I am new to this and I have learned a lot already thank you

I do not have any RIRs currently and any that I might have access to online are most likely copyrighted. I would suggest googling "Rhode Island Red rooster" and then google "Rhode Island Red hen" and see what comes up.

The main things you are going to have to compare are:
the size and color of the comb and wattles
the size of the legs (though not always reliable)
if you see any hackles or saddle feathers
how long or curved the tail feathers are
overall size of the bird since you have another to compare it to

If all else fails, try to get a better shot or use a better camera and post pics on BYCs "What Breed or Gender is this?" thread.

Really without a photo of your bird, you still won't have a definite answer. There are many dark red chickens. Most folks can't discern a difference. Your bird may not even be a pure RIR.
