wasnt sure if this was the section to post my problem in, but hopefully i can get some help anyway. I bought four Silkies from a farm this week & today, ive noticed that they are all missing at least one toe. their Feathers are very matted & they kinda stink. However, they are of good health & weight. Ive checked all of them for mites/lice, but none of them have it. Once the weather gets nicer, i plan on bathing & attempting to brush their "fur". Can i cut the feathers ? Will they grow back normally ? What can i do to make them smell better though ? & the puffs on their heads are also thinned down a bit.. As far as their toes, two of them have large stubs but it doesnt seem to bother them.
