Yes I am positive it layed an egg. They are from a VERY wealthy community that just recently put a ban on chicken owning. I would find it unlikely to catch a rare breed like that otherwise but these people are loaded, and they dump off tons of valuables everyday money is no object.

I thought he was a mutt too. Until I saw him in person. The mottling on his underside and wings really makes me think sf

I think they are mutts. They aren't EE's becuase they have single combs. Beautiful birds though. I'm glad they got a good home.
