Not sure of their breed anymore...

Just as an update to you all. Finally got an egg a few days ago. I found one that was all squashed in their nest box. Since then they have laid me 2 eggs per day in the wheelbarrow lol. So much for using the nest box again. I'm not too mad about it though because it's a little easier to get to than the nest box and allows a quick glance to check for them lol.

As you predicted, they are brown eggs. But I don't know that that will help narrow down their breed. But it doesn't matter too much I don't suppose. Although one of the chickens is laying medium - large brown eggs and the other is laying extra large eggs. Could be perhaps that one is more developed than the other at this point.

The other 2 don't have very large combs or wattles so I'm assuming they just aren't maturing as quickly at my other girls. So we'll wait and see.

Thank you for all the awesome (and correct) input!

I'm just going to have to wrap my head around eating a brown egg for the first time lol, never had one before :p

:yaThat's so exciting! Congratulations on the eggs! Well the one with brown patches is for sure and Amberlink. If they are white with no brown/tan patches they're White Plymouth Rocks.
