Not sure What breeds my girls are! I thought i knew but they don't match! any help much appreciated!

I bought my two girls from TSC mixed red pullets.

by old pictures I thought one was a rhode island red and the other a mix. but the RIR i saw at the fair were way darker and really didnt look like my Gwen or Arewyn.

Maybe they're buff mixes i really dont know but i would like to XD They are really good girls and have great chicken personalities!

Your red could be a New Hampshire and your buff could be something like a sex-linked layer breed. Any idea which hatchery your TSC orders from? Have they started laying yet? If so, what color are the eggs. If the eggs are white they are both probably sex-linked layers.

My red one lays a caramel brown colored egg. Arewyn is just about to lay any day now so not sure what hers are quite yet. And hatchery not sure they were bought by someone else who gave me two.

They look like red sex links to me, color can vary some.

I think you have 2 Production Reds, the shades of red vary.

MY money would be on a Sexlink's of some sort or NHR too.
