Not sure what it is!!!!!!

Certainly seems that way. I saw one thread that said there was a recovery with an herb I can't remember but draining for several years. Some posts say theirs seem to do ok with continual draining and other not so much. In a recent talk I had with a breeder they mentioned that many chickens get too much feed and she thought it more rare for a non meat breed to get it and fatter chickens were more likely to get it. I've read the meat breeds tend to get it do to rapid growth and oxygen demand. I don't know if it is an issue or not but I had been giving mine some cracked corn with their pellets. I've cut that out to see if there is any affect. Both of mine have been ameraucana (likely a cross and not pure). They don't get bumblefoot but the barred rock do. Maybe it's genetics and some breeds are more prone?

Well she was holding her own for quite a while but sad to say she did not make it! I read they usually don't make a come back and all one can do is keep them comfortable. Sad days!!

Sorry for your loss.

Yeah I don't know. She was one of my older layers RR Red. She was 4. Not that old I would think. I did drain her again, but her comb was not looking good at that time and I was not real hopeful. I did change their feed about a month ago to the feed Purina feed with the Oyster shell. I also feed soaked barley instead of corn I've been feeding it for almost a year and they seem to be doing well on that. Thanks for your response!!
