Good luck with your girl. I just wanted to respond to the quote above. I raise roaches for my bearded dragon. The are Blaptica dubia or Orange spotted roaches. These are nothing at all like the german cockroaches that infest people's homes. The are tropical so need to be heated, I use a heating pad set on low. They do not climb or fly. They are much healthier then mealworms. Mealworms more shell then 'meat', while the roaches have a higer 'meat' to shell ratio. And I see many people talking about using youget to boost the good bacteria in the gut. The problem there is that the bacteria is that it helps digest dairy products. Chicken would benefit from something for vegetation and proteins.

The comb looks alot like my Barred Holland's, I think. I'll have to check and take a picture to post tomorrow.
My Barred Rocks have bigger combs.
Is there any sign of old injury to the comb?

As far as I can tell she only has a few small scabs. The rest of the comb is intact. I can't get over how friendly she is after everything she's gone through!

I will have to look into the roaches then. I just don't think hubby will let them inside the house though. Where would someone go to buy these from?

Roaches are a close second on the eeww factor for me. Meal worms and crickets I can do, but now roaches, thank you!

I have another question about the worms- These aren't round worms. What I saw were very small, almost clear little worms. They were smaller than a grain of rice, brown in tint and almost see through.

I know a fecal float test would determine the type, but I don't really have the money to spend, and I have no idea who to call even if I could spend money.

Anyone have any ideas? I want to know mostly if the wazine will work.

tapeworm maybe? On my cat they looked like small grains of rice when she got infected from the fleas a few years ago. The tapeworm segments aren't very large.

According to drugs.com, Wazine is effective for Roundworms and Nodular worms, but apparently not tape worms. Is that your question?

PunkinPeep- that answered part of my question. They don't look like tapeworm segments. No white at all. There was a TON of them in that one stool, and I haven't seen any since or I would post a pic. Hmmm... Sounds like a wait and see how she does for awhile. I'll use a stronger wormer when her feathers are grown in, Wazine every 2 weeks until then, I guess.
