I bought some chicks the other day. The first was from a breeder. There are seven and they are 4 wks old and I bought six more from tractor supply. Here is a pic of the older ones that I am unsure of.

The two little ones are Pullets but the big ones I am not sure

The breeder should be able to tell you what the chicks you purchased from them are - though, from the looks of it it appears they may be mixed breeds, in which case asking what breeds the person has in their mixed flock would help.
What was the marking on the bin the chicks came from at TSC? Knowing which general marking they had will help narrow breeds that would possibly be present in that group.
Those are some itty-bitties in there with considerably larger/older chicks - definitely something to keep an eye on....hopefully the brooder is much larger than the photo would seem to indicate.

He said RIR bantam but they look to big. These little ones I just got from TSC along with the there little ones that are with the bigger ones.

The ones from tic are bantams the ones in the box aside from those little ones I was told were Rhode island red bantam. Just saying they look to big

Yes, I was afraid for them due to the age and size difference. I keep a very close eye on them and check on them frequently. My husband who says he is a chicken expert (although with the research I have done in the past couple days I bet I know more then he does) says that the little ones will be better off in there to help them keep warm (we have a lamp over them all so they can stay warm on the front porch (which is a covered porch). I had to talk him into letting me bring the tiny bantams in the house with a separate box so they wont get trampled and can get access to food and water without having to deal with the older chickens in the brood. They like inside where its nice and warm and dry and where they can just be chicks and not have to worry about moving out of the way all the time.

The breeder told me that the chicks we got were Rhode Island Red Bantams. But they must be more Rhode Island then bantam because there are some big ones in there, and there are ones that you can tell are Bantams by size and color. Then we have one in there (believe its a hen) that is grey and black (she looks more like a buzzard chick then chicken chick haha). Not to sure what she is either, I can most likely bet that they are mixed breeds. The small ones are bantams though. I just don't know what type of bantam. Probably TSC had a mix of different types of them together. So will have to wait and see what they develop into.
