I have a duckling that hatched late last night (shortly after midnight this morning actually). I left it in the incubator to dry. This morning he's dry, but he has something attached to him on the outside. I've never seen it before and I have no idea what it is or what to do about it. Please advise. I have attached a picture.

I cannot see the photograph clearly on my phone. However, the chances are you are seeing the remains of the yolk sack that is not yet fully absobed. Watch for another 48 hours and all will probably be well

Thank you. I was quite concerned. I've hatched off over 60 babies since March and this is a first, so was worried. I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Should I keep it separated until it is fully absorbed? It has 3 hatch mates that it is separated from.
