Nope, I don't agree. In another thread someone said they fed their chicks cracked corn for the first three days. I've known folks who thought they could just feed table scraps to all chickens - including the chicks - because "nature doesn't have that" (i.e. chicken crumbles). So, I never assume anyone has/knows the correct diet for any animal.
